Health Care Assistant (HCA) Part Time

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant skilled in Phlebotomy to join a lovely GP surgery in High Wycombe. In this role, you will draw blood samples from patients.

Responsibilities

• 3 days per week
• AM only clinic (4 hours)
• 8-10 blood samples per hour
• There is a possibility that a PM clinic for ECG opens up so having experience performing ECGs would be advantageous.

Please note this is initially a locum role but for the right candidate this can become a fixed-term / long-term post.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a healthcare in a GP setting is preferred but not essential
• Skilled in Phlebotomy with recent experience within the last 6 months is essential
• Skilled in performing ECG is preferred should PM clinic open up.
• Must have all mandatory compliance documents up to date and ready.
• Must have a report of all immunisations including MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB, COVID ready to hand.
• Must have a valid Enhanced DBS from the last 3 years.
• Must have Right to Work in the UK.
• Familiarity with IT systems with ICE and EMIS is preferred but not essential
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse individuals
• A compassionate approach towards caring for others, demonstrating patience and empathy
